70 year old man found dead at Sumter auto repair shop

SUMTER, S.C. — A guy was located shot and killed at his automotive shop in Sumter early Tuesday early morning. 

According to the Sumter Sheriff’s Department, 70-yr-old Willie McDuffie from Lee county was discovered useless in his auto mend shop.

On Tuesday morning July 19, 2022, around 8:30am, deputies from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, alongside with EMS personnel, responded to a organization along the 1500 block of Airport Highway in response to an unconscious male discovered inside the developing. 

Deputies and EMS determined the issue was deceased from gunshot wounds and contacted the Coroner’s Business.

He was discovered by a family members member inside of the place of work. 

Sheriff Anthony Dennis said, “This company is a tiny shut knit group of household and buddies, and they applied their capabilities to help others. We are making an attempt to confirm motive but so significantly, McDuffie’s demise will make no feeling. We have a total workforce of investigators functioning on this situation. Whoever is accountable for this senseless demise needs to be held accountable. I am inquiring anybody in the community, any individual that realized this household, if there is a little something my investigators require to know, speak to this workplace.
