Corpus Christi ISD identifies seniors who died after grad rehearsal

Two learners from Corpus Christi ISD were being killed in a rollover crash on Tuesday, May possibly 31. The district recognized them as Matthew Garcia and Marcello Saldua on Thursday, June 2.

Two college students from Corpus Christi Unbiased Faculty District were killed in a rollover crash after attending their graduation rehearsal on Tuesday, May perhaps 31. The district identified them to MySA as Matthew Garcia and Marcello Saldua on Thursday, June 2. They were each 18.

According to the district, 4 students from Ray Superior College had been included in the car wreck. The learners were touring to faculty right after attending graduation rehearsal at the American Lender Center, about four miles from the campus.

Corpus Christi law enforcement informed Usa Today that they observed 4 male learners in a white, two-doorway automobile that was lying on its roof. Two of the college students had been pronounced useless at the scene. The two hurt pupils were being taken to a nearby healthcare facility. The incident continues to be less than investigation.


“Our Texan neighborhood is devastated by this loss of our graduating seniors,” Ray Higher College Principal Roxanne Cuevas stated in a information launch. “Our hearts go out to all the beloved ones afflicted by this tragedy.”

The neighborhood is internet hosting a vigil to honor the seniors at 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Park in Corpus Christi on Thursday, June 2. A GoFundMe page was also developed for a single of the pupils killed in the rollover.
