Iconic car from classic film musical to headline car show in Enniskerry

The iconic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car is the headline attraction at the Powerscourt Parish Vehicle Exhibit in Enniskerry.

he Powerscourt Parish Veteran, Vintage and Typical Car or truck Demonstrate will be held on Sunday, May possibly 29 in the grounds of St Patrick’s Church, opposite  Powerscourt Estate in Enniskerry. 

Organisers have curated an exhibition of vehicles from the 1900s to the 1980s, headlined by the iconic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from the significantly-cherished 1968 musical. A really distinctive assortment of vehicles will be on show, including a historic 1918 Stutz Bearcat, which competed in the Peking to Paris rally, a Mercedes ‘Gullwing’ and a exceptional Ferrari 275 GTB. The entrants will be battling it out to be crowned winner of the community, entrant or celeb preference of car on the day.

All are welcome to come and get pleasure from the occasion, from automobile enthusiasts to people and buddies and people searching for bargains from the many pop-up stands.

Refreshments will be obtainable in the catering village and from the various pop-up stands. There will also be children’s games and other loved ones-pleasant attractions. 

The Steadfast Band will also entertain all website visitors to the car present.

In the meantime,a raffle will present an opportunity to be in with a opportunity to go for a travel in Chitty, and a host of other wonderful prizes will be on offer. It will also be feasible to have your photograph taken at the present while sitting in Chitty.

The show will be open up to the community from 11 a.m. to  5 p.m. and totally free parking for guests will be readily available in the subject at the entrance to Powerscourt Estate.
