Simi Valley man dead after Highway 118 motorcycle crash

A 27-12 months-outdated Simi Valley gentleman died while riding a bike on Highway 118 late Saturday night, California Freeway Patrol officers reported.

The two-car or truck accident was described all over 11:20 p.m. on the westbound freeway, east of Rocky Peak Highway. The location is in Los Angeles, just east of the Ventura County line and Simi Valley town boundaries.

The rider was on a white 2008 Suzuki GXS-R headed westbound in the left lane at significant velocity, according to the CHP’s West Valley workplace. The agency’s preliminary investigation indicated the rider created an “unsafe turning movement” to the ideal and, mixed with his unsafe speed, strike the back of a blue Toyota Tundra pickup truck also headed westbound in the left lane.

The rider was thrown from the motorcycle, landing in a traffic lane.

Emergency staff supplied lifestyle-preserving steps. Ventura County firefighters declared him useless at the scene shortly after 11:40 p.m.

The driver of the pickup truck, whose age and metropolis of home were being not quickly available as of midday Sunday, was not injured, CHP officers stated. No arrests have been designed.
